LaseMD Ultra uses a non-ablative fractional laser to create thousands of tiny micro-channels in the skin. These controlled micro-injuries trigger your body’s natural repair response, boosting collagen and speeding up cell turnover. Because the laser targets water in the skin (not pigment), it resurfaces from the inside out with minimal downtime, improving texture, tone, sun damage, and overall radiance.

DOES IT HURT?

Most people describe it as warm, prickly, and totally manageable. A topical numbing cream keeps things comfortable.

IS THERE DOWNTIME?

Very minimal. You may see some redness for 1–3 days and expect about a week of rough, sandpaper texture, but you can usually wear makeup by day 3 and should have that glass-skin glow by day 8.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

Most clients see great results with 3 sessions, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart. Some love quarterly maintenance for year-round glow.

IS IT SAFE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES?

Yes. Because it’s non-ablative and targets water (not pigment), it’s safe for a wide range of skin tones.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

You’ll start to see changes after about 2 weeks with deeper texture and pigment improvement building after 3 weeks.

HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?

With proper skincare and sun protection, results can last several months. Many clients stay on a quarterly schedule to keep collagen active.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR TREATMENT?

Avoid retinols, exfoliants, and tanning for a week prior as these can cause irritation. Also, notify your provider of all current and recent medications. Certain medications will require a longer wash-out period such as strong antibiotics and isotretinoin.

DOES IT REALLY WORK FOR MELASMA?

Yes, when used correctly. Because it’s gentle and targets water, it can help improve pigment without triggering worsening. Please note that melasma isn't curable but we can safely minimize the appearance of skin darkening.
